Information for actors

Interviews and auditions for Rainbow Theatre's productions and tours continue throughout the year, with special periods when casting for the Christmas & Easter Tours, and the summer Shakespeare Productions.

Interviews usually take place at the Company's headquarters at

66 Ham Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 2QY

TO GET THERE:

By train: from Victoria to either Worthing Central Station and take a taxi OR Victoria to East Worthing, change at Hove or Shoreham and take the stopping train to East Worthing. Exit the station and head South towards the sea - eventually you will arrive at a row of shops on the left, and Rainbow is next to the Coop.

By car: Find Worthing Pier, and then head east ( Brighton direction) along sea front until you arrive at the Half Brick Pub. Turn up Ham Road and we are about  500 metres down on the left.

Our Phone Number: 01903 203598

At present looking for ACTORS   for this year's RAINBOW SHAKESPEARE  - playing Worthing, London  (see Rainbow Shakespeare link) Must be enthusiastic, imaginative, and have experience of playing Shakespeare.  Rehearse mid June, play till mid August.

Auditions/ Interview: The usual format is a chat about you and any questions you have about Rainbow and the forthcoming tour. Have two short pieces - one SHAKESPEARE and one MODERN and QUITE LIGHT ( if possible) Plus A SONG, which will be sung unaccompanied. Be prepared to do a short improvisation.

HINTS: Find out a bit about Rainbow, enjoy yourself, remember we want to cast you! Rainbow Theatre employs many actors and we try to create a relaxed 'family' feeling. That way everyone works better.  If you are going to be late, or if you have any 'problems' with dates, etc., do let us know so that no time is wasted.
